Maths Advice Bot for Science

Hello, welcome to the Math Advice Bot (MAB)! Starting university can be exciting, but selecting the right maths units, and figuring out what support you might need to meet the assumed knowledge of a unit might seem overwhelming. MAB is here to simplify this process by providing personalised advice based on your mathematical background and degree aspirations. Students enrolling into maths units in the Faculty of Science can make use of this bot.

This bot draws upon information from resources on the Maths Learning Support website, including the Support Roadmaps, Unit of Study Handbook, and the Learning Hub website. It is important to check the advice given for accuracy against the official documentation. If unsure, please contact the academic advisor of your School.

The University of Sydney, Maths Advice Bot (MAB) is collecting information about you to help prepare you for your study preferences, understand your mathematical background and degree aspirations. The MAB uses generative AI technology developed and securely hosted by the University of Sydney.

Participation with the maths advice bots is voluntary. The University of Sydney maths learning support for commencing students will use your personal information and responses to track and monitor academic performance, for analytical purposes and to communicate with you.
